FERROMAGNETIC LOCATORS

Ferromagnetic locators are used to find iron and steel structures including manhole covers, valve boxes and more.  They are based on magnetic technology.  Aluminum, copper and other metals do not register on ferromagnetic locaters.  Most ferromagnetic locators are very sensitive.

They can find small items such as survey nails(down to about 6 inches deep).  Manhole covers and valve boxes can usually be found up to 2 or more feet deep.  Iron and steel pipes are often detectable down to 6 feet deep.  Large tanks can be found at depths of 8 feet or more.

Ferromagnetic locators are rugged instruments and easy to use.
